5/17/12 News concerning a minor league baseball team in Wilmington

If you want minor league baseball in Wilmington, you have to show the Wilmington City Council that you are committed. The most important event yet is happening on Saturday, May 19th.  There will be a rally at Innis Park.  The park is adjacent to City Hall on 3rd and Princess St.  This will give the message to city council that we want them to bring minor league baseball to Wilmington. Please join us at 2:00pm on Saturday afternoon. It will last only about an hour, and everyone will get a chance to send a personal message to the City Council.

In addition, former Atlanta Braves players Otis Nixon, Greg McMichael, Zane Smith and Jeff Treadway will be on hand to take pictures and sign autographs. So bring your kids, in their Little League uniforms if possible. They will also be registering all little leaguers who are in uniform for a special prize and a chance to win the Brave's uniforms.

Go to http://www.portcitybaseball.com  for more details.

Important Note: We are a non-profit organization. 100% of ALL funds collected through registrations, sponsors, donations, and fundraising efforts, go right back to our Baseball and Softball programs. Our organization does not have any paid or salaried employees and we rely solely on volunteers! Your participation is important to the success of our programs.
